A work conference in Kiev provided an opportunity to explore this historic and impressive city. Visited St Andrews, Museum of the Great War, Kiev Pechersk Lavra (monastery with extensive catacombs),  The Motherland Monument, Independence Square, St. Sophia's Cathedral, Golden Gate, St. Volodymyr's Cathedral, and Andriivskyi descent markets, .  As you can see, there's a lot of churches in Kiev.
